Jibi is a chain of mid-size supermarkets with approximately 100 branches in Lower Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia, especially in and around the German city of Bielefeld.
As a local retailer, Jibi markets offer daily-need products with departments for fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy products, frozen meals, and a large selection of meat, sausage and cheese. These departments are rounded off in the checkout areas by fresh bread and baked goods from local bakeries.
"Jibi" is an acronym for the family name Jittenmeier and the city name Bielefeld, where the company is based. The company was founded in 1962; since 2015 the chain of supermarkets has belonged to the Bünting Group.
With integration into the Bünting corporate group, Jibi markets are now being converted into Combi supermarkets. As a locally oriented chain with a full selection, Combi offers its customers a wide range of more than 25,000 products in centrally located branches.
